6 Months

It has been 6 months since this guy joined our family! We suuuuuuure do love him!

He thinks Hayden hung the moon. He will inhale an entire jar of bananas even though they give him a stomach ache. He will have a 30 minute conversation with the guy in the mirror. If it is within reach, he will grab it. Everything is in reach.

6 month weight : 14 lbs 13 oz (10th percentile) -- we like our little guy!

A few more updates from the past couple of months (whoops)
April 8th - started rolling from back to front
May 1st - started scooting
May 12th - cut first tooth (on the bottom, and he cut the other bottom tooth the next day)
May 23rd - Sitting up

And just a little comparison of Hayden at 6 months and Garrett at 6 months...

Summer Kick-off!

We kicked the summer season off the best way possible - with a trip to the coast! It was Garrett's first trip down and we went with Crystal, John and Ella. We finally got to stay at the Splash Resort in Panama City, and it was a fantastic place! The weather was BEAUTIFUL, but it being early May, the water in the pool was still a bit too cold. Unfortunately it was also very windy that weekend, which put a little too much chill in the air! It didn't keep Hayden from swimming in the ocean all day, every day :) Aside from the wind, we still had a great time, and are thrilled that beach season is here!

5 Years

(**Disclaimer: This post is over a month behind, but I'm wording like it is on time. Just no time for sitting on the computer these days, but I have lots of blogging planned out in my head!**)

5 years ago I was blessed beyond belief when I became a mom to this guy:

Hayden Alexander is the most practical, hilarious, adorable, compassionate, intelligent boy I know. We never could have dreamed how blessed our lives would be with this boy. I truly can't fathom the fact that he is five years old now. It seems like no time has passed since I was holding him in my arms for the first time.

Oh how we have enjoyed loving you, teaching you and watching you grow. We love you Hayden!

1st Birthday

2nd Birthday

3rd Birthday

4th Birthday

5th Birthday

This year we did a double birthday party for Hayden and Ella, since their birthdays are only (1 year and) 3 days apart. We had it at Homewood Park and the weather was great! Lots of friends showed up to play. Alli honed her awesome cake making skills and made some pretty extravagant cakes for the kids. David made everyone's day by catering in Dippin Dots! What a treat!

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Several weeks ago (yes, I'm behind again) we took the family canoeing on the Cahaba River. It was a gorgeous day and there wasn't a cloud in the sky! I successfully nursed a baby and changed a poopy diaper in the canoe that day - haha! Lots of fun!
We pulled over on a little island to hang out and let Hayden fish. Hayden declared it "Hayden's Island" and said he needed a big flag with an H on it.

Time to Eat!

Let's eat food!

"You want me to do whaaaaaat?"

"Well let me help you out there Mama."

"This is pretty good!"

"I can make cereal bubbles!"

"Did you know I can fit my entire fist in my mouth?"

"This is so fun!"

"Bravo I say!"

"Can I have some more?"

Another "All-encompassing" Blog Post....

So here I find myself playing blog catchup, AGAIN. Spring has sprung and we have been staying buuuuuuusy! Curtis has been out of town for 2 solid weeks, so I have been holding down the fort alone. Much more difficult than I had anticipated! But he comes home tomorrow... can't wait to see that man's face.

Nothing much new to report... Hayden and Garrett are still growing faster than I would like! Hayden will be 5 in less than a month and it makes me a little sad! Garrett is giggling, babbling, drooling and rolling over! (Front to back only for now) He is 4 months old now.

Now for the pictures:

Hayden says the darndest things....

::Upon opening his Happy Meal at the McDonald's Drive Thru::
H: "Mom! This is NOT a Happy Meal. This is a SAD Meal!"
Me: "What? Why?"
H: --Quickly pulls the toy out of the box-- "Because they gave me a GIRL toy! The man that did that should go to jail."

::After a long morning of playing::
--Wipes his brow-- "Whew! I'm exalted!"

::Upon spotting an RV on the interstate::
H: "What's that?"
Me: "That's an RV. It's like a house that you can drive. It has a kitchen and a bed and a tv in there!"
H: "Wow! When can we have an RV?"
Me: "When we have lots of money."
H: "Well, who gets us money?"
Me: "We get money by working. Dad works hard and that is how he gets money."
H: --Shakes his head in disbelief-- "I gotta tell Dad about this."

::Leaving the house to go to Momma T's so I could get a massage::
H: --Talking to Brian, the yard guy-- "Well, I gotta go to my grandma's now because my mom needs to be rubbed."
